Shenzhen Biorain Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was co-founded, in 2016, by talented overseas returnees, researchers, and scientist from Chinese Academy of Sciences and experienced engineers. The company focuses on delivering novel in vitro diagnostic (IVD) systems and applications by using cutting-edge microfluidics and digital PCR technologies. In 2016, the company received the start-up subsidy for returned overseas students from the Shenzhen Science and Technology Commission, and in 2018 obtained the qualifications of "National High-tech Enterprise" and "Shenzhen High-tech Enterprise".

Biorain has commercialized a series of high-performance ddPCR instruments, consumables, and IVD reagent kits. Biorain’s ddPCR products are known for their superior performance, reliability, and accuracy. DropXpert S6, Biorain’s flagship product, is a fully integrated digital PCR instrument features in high-throughput, low running cost and superior user-friendliness. DropXpert S6 is designed for various IVD applications including liquid biopsy, NIPT, microsatellite instability detection (MSI), pathogenic microorganism detection and others, providing the users with a complete set of molecular diagnostic solutions. The company has long term goals of developing new generation of nucleic acid detection and quantitation products by continuous innovations. Biorain’s vision is to use innovative technologies to deliver high-quality medical products for the public health sector and become a global leading supplier of medical diagnostic equipment.
